HELP SAVE
MEDICAL
CANNABIS
IN CANADA
.

Medical cannabis has a rich history in Canada, marked by the tireless efforts of dedicated patients and activists who fought for its recognition and legalization as a therapeutic option. Despite facing resistance and persecution from the government for many years, med-pot users persevered by challenging unjust laws through the courts and building a cross-country network of pioneering activists. Their relentless advocacy ultimately forced the government to acknowledge the medical benefits of cannabis and implement legal frameworks for its use in treating various ailments. However, despite the progress made in legalizing recreational cannabis, the needs of medical cannabis patients have often been overlooked or sidelined by the government in favour of discussions around the potential harms of cannabis. Regulators in charge of the new legal system have largely ignored the needs of patients and have even attempted to downplay research showing the remarkable medical benefits of cannabis.   At FAIR Cannabis, we believe it's essential to give medical patients a louder voice in the legal cannabis community and advocate for policies that prioritize their well-being and access to effective treatment options. We aim to raise awareness about the challenges faced by medical cannabis patients in Canada and highlight the extensive body of research demonstrating the therapeutic potential of cannabis for managing a wide range of medical conditions.
